Sethu FC, a club based out of Tamil Nadu has been offering budding footballers in the U-13, U-15 and the U-18 category a platform to hone their skills on the field. By giving them, the much-needed exposure by participating in tournaments throughout the year, many of these youngsters have made their way into the national team as well. Such laurels achieved just hows the way their approach and dedication to the cause really us. Sethu FC is now making grass root level football in Tamil Nadu stand out from the rest.

There are a host of football clubs and academies in India that promote the sport at the grass-roots level. With the club investing a lot of time and effort in women’s football, it was important that our content and creative do not get lost in the huge numbers already available to the reader. The staff, the players of the team put in a great shift on the field, Footmarque had to deliver the same off the field making sure Sethu FC was a name the public could identify with.
Here’s what we did
Footmarque handled all social media for Tamil Nadu football club Sethu FC during the fixtures of the Indian Women’s League 2017-18 that was held in Kolhapur from November 25 to December 8. We created a host of content (pre-match, match time and post-match) that involved images, videos, live updates in the form of tweets. Footmarque also designed the official website of the football club that saw match reports being uploaded.
Footmarque designed and delivering a website for them that was very much on the mark. By offering details about the squad, playing staff and the owner, supporters of the Tamil Nadu side were able to get all the information they sought from their favourite team. News from the media was updated in a designation section, while one could keep up-to-date with their fixtures and results accordingly with scores and match reports being uploaded. With the client being a sports team, getting the viewer’s attention in the form of photos and a host of videos made sure that the website received a lot of traffic.
More than 700 posts and 50 videos were uploaded over the course of the tournament. Footmarque made sure that the Sethu FC fan got to see the match via Facebook live videos. Be it any result, post-match interviews with coach and players made sure viewers got to know the mood of the team. Squad members were wished on their birthdays and posts/creative were made on the occasion of a festival. Creatives were made for the match preview, match scores, top scorers, etc as well.

On the field, Sethu FC did the talking in the form of goals and victories during the tournament. Off the field, Footmarque delivered as well in the form of well-thought content-strategy that saw innovative creatives, posts, videos being made. By having their website up-to-date with their fixtures and results, we gave the Sethu FC fanbase all the information they sought at the click of a button.
